Steven (Colin Farrell) is a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon, who lives happily and successfully with his wife Anna (Nicole Kidman) and their two children, Kim (Raffey Cassidy) and Bob (Sunny Suljic). One day Steven become friend of Martin (Barry Keoghan), a fatherless teen who Steven decides to take under his wing.
As Steven introduces Martin to his family, suddenly more and more disturbing events begin to occur which gradually shock their world, forcing Steven to make a big sacrifice and avoid losing everything.
