Inspired by Elisa Girotto’s extraordinary life. A moving story about a woman who left 18 gifts for her daughter’s future birthdays when she discovered she had little time to live and see her daughter grow up. Every year Alessio (Edoardo Leo) gives his daughter Anna (Benedetta Porcaroli) a gift left by Elisa (Vittoria Puccini). At Anna’s eighteenth birthday, when the last gift is left to be unwrapped, a desire for rebellion and a sense of emptiness inside push her to run away from the party. She wanders aimlessly at night in the middle of the road and a car, not seeing her, hits Anna. When Anna wakes up, she is face to face with her mother. Destiny gives her the opportunity to know Elisa and to make herself known by her mother in an extraordinary journey of emotions and hope.
